Fear As A Motivator...

Fear As A Motivator...
A handwritten page inside an open notebook

Many words have been written about how FEAR can hold us back and stop us doing the positive work we’re meant to do - I know because I’ve had some of those feelings and written some of those words…

But contrary to its bad rap, FEAR can be a helpful motivator too. For me, a fear of future ill health pushes me to exercise on the days I don’t feel like it, and a fear of not knowing ‘enough’ was the driver that helped me learn so much more. (And interestingly, while both of those habits were born out of a fear, they both grew over time into habits that now bring JOY.)

Fear is a natural and basic human emotion, but it doesn’t have to hold us back - it can push us purposefully forward too…
