Productivity...

I heard a great definition of productivity this morning - I’m listening to Hyperfocus by Chris Bailey on my morning walks - and it was that “productivity is accomplishing what we intend to”.

For a long time, I believed that productivity was all about getting more work done, and I suspect I’m not alone - after all, who doesn’t like to brag about the number of hours they’ve worked or the number of tasks they’ve completed - but as I learn more from authors like Covey, Allen, Benson and Bailey, I am finally realising that it is far more important be intentional about work that makes a difference, rather than doing more and more work that, in the grand scheme of things, really doesn’t matter…
