Finding Happiness...

in happiness

One of my daily journaling questions is to rate my happiness, and this morning I realised that although I am feeling a little stressed (there’s a LOT going on at the moment), I am, nevertheless, pretty happy.

We have been conditioned to believe that happiness needs to be a permanent mood with nothing able to disturb our inner calm.

In fact, happiness is not an absence of negative feelings like stress, tension or worry, it is a reflection on our longer-term state - any pond can be disturbed by a few small pebbles, but when happiness runs deep, calm will always return…
