Benefits over time...

I quit smoking 19 years ago because I had a very compelling reason - but one of the things that really helped in the early days was a chart I saw in a doctor’s office that listed the positive health benefits that began to accumulate in the moments after your final cigarette.

The other night on Dragon’s Den (the UK equivalent of Shark Tank), one of the Dragons listed a 7-year path for a business from growth to successful sale and it had the same effect as that old stop smoking chart, so I have written out a modified version and put it up on my wall.

The journey to achieving anything important is going to take plenty of time and a lot hard work, but the longer you keep going, the greater the benefits you experience along the way…
